Sites
Turn a Google Form into a one-page website at its own address, like myrestaurant.takumiform.com. The form’s title and description become the hero, its section headers, text, images, videos and priced menus become the page content, and the form itself sits on the page as the call to action. The colors, fonts and logo come from the Customize tab, so the page and the form match.
A form is either embedded as a form or published as a site, never both. Choose when you connect it (the add-on window offers Embed this form and Build a site from this form) or later: reserving a site address makes the form a site, and the Site tab has a link to switch back.
Setup (5 minutes)
- Connect your form to TakumiForm if you haven’t yet. New here? See Getting started
- In the dashboard, open the form and go to the Site tab
- Pick an address. It’s checked as you type; lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, 3 to 40 characters
- Fill in the hero (headline, tagline, button text, an optional image), your business details, untick any content block you don’t want, and Save
- Pick a template if you like, check the preview, then Save and publish
Your site is live at https://<address>.takumiform.com the moment you publish. Unpublish any time; the address then shows “no site here” until you publish again.
Starting from nothing? In the add-on window, open Start from a template and apply one to an empty form: it writes a ready-made structure (menu questions with sample prices, an about section, sample images, a contact section) into your Google Form, which you then edit as usual.
What ends up on the page
| On your Google Form | On the site |
|---|---|
| Title and description | Hero headline and tagline (you can override both on the Site tab) |
| Section (page break) title and description | A section heading with its text, when content follows it. A section with only questions after it (“Your details”) stays inside the form |
| Title and description item | A text block |
| Image item | The image, full width. Until you upload a hero image, the first image in the form is the hero photo instead |
| Video item | The YouTube video, embedded without cookies until played |
| Multiple choice or checkbox question with prices | A menu or product list named after the question, one entry per option, with the price when the option ends with one (see below). The question stays in the form too |
| Multiple choice or checkbox question without prices | Nothing, unless you tick it under Content blocks; then it shows as a list too |
| Date or time question | Nothing on the page, but the button text defaults to “Book now” |
| Other questions | The form, in one block |
Edit the content in Google Forms and sync (open the add-on window or hit Sync on the dashboard); the site updates with the form. Blocks you hide stay hidden across syncs.
Images reach TakumiForm the next time you open the add-on window on that form, so a form connected before Sites existed shows its images after one more open.
Menus, products and prices
A multiple-choice or checkbox question with prices is shown twice: as a list on the page and inside the form, where people pick. A question with no prices (“Where did you hear about us?”) stays inside the form; tick it under Content blocks to show it as a list anyway. To show prices, end the option text with one, in any of these shapes:
Nasi lemak (RM 12) Flat white ($4.50) Set lunch - RM 12.90 Kopi O | 2.50A number on its own at the end of an option (“Set 2”) is not read as a price. Options without a price show without one. The Site tab shows exactly what the site read, so check it there before publishing. The currency under Business details fills in when an option has none.
Business details
Address, phone, WhatsApp, email, opening hours, price range, cuisine and social links live on the Site tab, since Google Forms has no field for them. They appear on the site as a contact block with a map, and are published as structured data (a Restaurant, Store, BeautySalon and so on, with your hours, address and menu) so search engines can show your site as a business. Fill in cuisine and city and the page title becomes “Name | Ramen in Petaling Jaya”.
Templates
A template sets the layout (hero style, menu as a list, grid or cards, gallery, contact block, where the button sits) and a color and font theme. Pick one on the Site tab: Preview shows it over your own content without saving, Use applies it. The colors and fonts land on the Customize tab, so you can keep tuning them afterwards. Filter by business type; “More variations” shows generated combinations.
Hero image
Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP up to 4 MB on the Site tab. It is resized to 1600px wide and shown with the headline. Google doesn’t share a form’s header image with add-ons, so this is a separate upload. Until you upload one, the first image in your form is used as the hero photo and leaves the gallery; upload a hero image and it goes back.
Your own domain
Coming soon. Serving the site at an address you own, such as www.myrestaurant.com, will be one CNAME record at your registrar; the Site tab shows a Soon badge where it will live. Until then every site is at <address>.takumiform.com.
Getting found
- Your site has its own
sitemap.xmlandrobots.txt, allows indexing, and loads no analytics, fonts or trackers, which keeps it fast. - Fill in Business details: they become structured data, and the page title and description follow them.
- Paste your Google Search Console verification value under Business details, then add
https://<address>.takumiform.comas a property there and submit the sitemap. That is the fastest way to be indexed. - Share the address on your Google Business Profile, Instagram and WhatsApp status; the social preview image is generated from your hero.
Branding
The footer carries a small “Made with TakumiForm” line. Turn off Show TakumiForm branding on the Customize tab to remove it, the same switch that removes it from the form.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| ”That address is already taken” | Someone else has it. Pick another; a hyphen or a location usually does it. |
| The address shows “no site here” | The site is unpublished, or your plan has lapsed. Publish from the Site tab, or pick a plan. |
| The page says “This site is paused” | Your trial or subscription has ended. Pick a plan and the site comes back as it was. |
| A section or image is missing | Check it isn’t unticked under Content blocks; a list without prices starts unticked. Images appear after the add-on window has been opened on the form once since the image was added. |
| The first image is not in the gallery | It is the hero photo. Upload a hero image on the Site tab and it returns to the gallery. |
| A section heading does not show | A section shows only when content follows it. One followed by questions alone is a label inside the form. |
| The form on the page says it isn’t accepting responses | The form is unpublished or closed in Google Forms, or requires a Google sign-in. The form’s own rules apply inside the site. |
| Prices don’t show | Put the price at the very end of the option, in brackets or after a dash: Nasi lemak (RM 12). Sync, then check the Site tab’s “Menu and products” card. |
| I want the embed snippet back | On the Site tab, use Switch back to a form. The site is unpublished and its settings are kept. |
| Opening a form link lands on the site | That’s expected for a site: the form only renders inside the page. Switch back to a form if you need a standalone form link. |
